Tracer, a data intelligence platform, has announced the appointment of Valerie Bartlett as its inaugural Senior Vice President and Head of Sales. With 15 years of experience in the AdTech industry, Bartlett will play a crucial role in driving Tracer’s sales growth initiatives, including team expansion, sales strategy development, and operational infrastructure. Bartlett, who previously served as TikTok’s Head of US Independent Agencies, brings with her a proven track record of redefining sales strategies and achieving unprecedented growth in the industry.
During her time at TikTok, Bartlett was instrumental in building the sales function from scratch, leading to over $2 billion in agency sales. Prior to that, she served as the Head of Sales, South, at Liveramp. Bartlett’s extensive experience in reaching agencies and other stakeholders in advertising and media makes her an ideal fit for Tracer.
Tracer’s President, Obele Brown-West, expressed excitement about Bartlett joining the team, stating that her experience, along with Tracer’s technological advancements and strong financial position, will drive significant and rapid growth for the company.
Bartlett’s appointment comes after Tracer’s recent Series A fundraising, co-led NewRoad Capital Partners, Progress Ventures, BDMI, S4S Ventures, and Arbour Way Investors. The capital raised will be used to scale Tracer’s data intelligence business and strengthen its sales and marketing teams.
Commenting on her new role, Bartlett highlighted Tracer’s ambitious and experienced management team and emphasized the importance of providing tools to agencies for data transparency and efficient planning. She looks forward to working with the Tracer team to bring the platform to agencies lacking such tools.
In addition to her role at Tracer, Bartlett holds memberships and positions on industry boards, including the Interactive Advertising Bureau, 4As, and SheRunsIt, reflecting her commitment to advancing the industry and fostering collaboration.
