TikTok and Canva Showcase Business Success on the Platform

TikTok and Canva are joining forces once again to celebrate businesses in Australia through the second phase of the ‘Business Booms on TikTok’ campaign. While the first phase focused on small and medium-sized businesses, the second iteration highlights larger, established businesses like Canva.

Canva, a global visual communication platform founded in Perth in 2013, has found TikTok to be a crucial part of its marketing strategy. According to Canva’s head of global sales and success, Jen Howard, TikTok has played an integral role in creating product awareness, explaining the product offering, inspiring users to try the full suite of products, and driving expansion and adoption.

By utilizing TikTok, Canva has been able to engage with diverse audiences, showcasing how big businesses can thrive on the social media platform. Howard emphasizes the importance of being authentic, having fun, and experimenting while conveying the brand message effectively to engage with TikTok’s diverse user base.

Since its emergence in 2019, TikTok has become an essential marketing platform for businesses of all sizes. With over one billion active monthly users worldwide, it remains one of the most downloaded apps. Its ability to make videos go viral overnight and reach millions of users can open doors for companies, especially those targeting younger audiences.

TikTok’s own data reveals its impact on consumer behavior, with 50% of Gen Z TikTok users likely to make a purchase while using the app and 81% using it to discover new products and brands.

However, concerns regarding privacy have led to TikTok being banned on government devices in several countries, and some states in the USA have implemented a total ban.
