Shudder, the popular streaming platform for horror films, has acquired the rights to the Australian horror thriller “You’ll Never Find Me.” The film, directed Josiah Allen and Indianna Bell, will be released as a Shudder Original and is set to premiere at Fantastic Fest. It had its world premiere at Tribeca in June and will be available on the platform in 2024.
The plot centers around an isolated man, played Brendan Rock, living in a desolate caravan park. His solitude is disrupted when a young woman, portrayed Jordan Cowan, seeks shelter from a violent storm. As the storm intensifies, they both start feeling threatened. But who should really be afraid?
“We are absolutely thrilled to be joining the Shudder family,” said the filmmakers. “We know our film has found its perfect home amongst the strange, spooky, and sinister films on the streaming service and can’t wait to share ‘You’ll Never Find Me’ with American and UK audiences next year.”
Emily Gotto, VP of Global Acquisitions and Co-Productions at Shudder, praised the film, saying, “Josiah and Indianna bring a taught, tense, and twisted two-hander. ‘You’ll Never Find Me’ creeps under your skin and stays there. Delighted to bring these talented new directorial voices to Shudder and beyond.”
Aside from “You’ll Never Find Me,” Shudder has other titles screening at Fantastic Fest, including “Infested,” “The Sacrifice Game,” “V/H/S/85,” and “When Evil Lurks.”
The deal for the film was negotiated Blue Finch Films’ Mike Chapman on behalf of the filmmakers and Emily Gotto on behalf of Shudder.
