Metacask and BitPay Partnership Expands Accessibility of Cryptocurrency in Premium Spirits Market

Facebook News

Online marketplace Metacask has joined forces with crypto payment processor BitPay to enhance the use of cryptocurrencies on its platform. Metacask enables users to buy, sell, and collect spirits using blockchain technology. With this new partnership, the two companies aim to make cryptocurrency payments simple and secure for purchasing rare spirits through auctions and exclusive listings.

One of the unique features of Metacask is that every sale comes with a digital deed that proves ownership of the asset, along with important provenance statistics. These statistics include details such as the creation date, location, and the last test conducted distilleries or experts. The information is permanently stored on the blockchain, creating an audited and timestamped trail of ownership.

By collaborating with BitPay, Metacask is further expanding the accessibility of the premium spirits market to cryptocurrency users. In addition to cryptocurrency payments, Metacask also plans to support credit card payments and offers social login options using Facebook and Google accounts.

Marks and Spencer Implements Bespoke Fittings Solution with Bodi.Me for Gender Neutral Staff Uniforms

Marks and Spencer (M&S) has partnered with sustainable fashion fit technology company Bodi.Me and uniform supplier Incorporatewear to develop a customized fittings solution for M&S’ new gender neutral staff uniforms. Incorporatewear challenged Bodi.Me to incorporate M&S’ new collection seamlessly and support the transition for approximately 14,000 staff members.

Starting with its Size-Me platform, Bodi.Me created Size-Me 3.0 specifically for this task. This bespoke version of the garment sizing solution utilizes data from over 350,000 3D body models, incorporating artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide comprehensive size and fit recommendations. To address the uncertainties associated with gender neutral collections, Size-Me 3.0 introduced a set of tailored questions for each wearer, gathering touch-free body measurements without the need for intrusive photos or body scans.

The data collected is entirely confidential. Bodi.Me’s solution aims to improve size selection accuracy and enhance the overall fitting experience for M&S’ staff members.
