Pop superstar Halsey has thrilled fans with the announcement of their long-awaited music comeback. Taking to Instagram, Halsey shared a series of photos and videos along with a cryptic caption, hinting at their upcoming fifth album.
Excitement quickly spread among fans who eagerly expressed their anticipation for the new music. One fan commented, “And for the fifth time, I will be grateful and split my heart open to absorb it all. Love u.” Another fan added, “We appreciate you so much. Take your time, can’t wait to hear what you have in store for us.”
Halsey previously discussed the sound of their new record, stating that they are approaching it with a similar mindset to their previous album, Manic. They are focusing on creating what feels good and resonates with them, free from strict genre parameters.
The fifth album holds great significance as it will be Halsey’s first release under their new Columbia Records contract. Back in April, it was revealed that Halsey left Capitol Records to pursue a “new partnership.” Halsey’s managers expressed their excitement about exploring this new chapter, while Capitol Records acknowledged their accomplishments together and wished Halsey the best in their future endeavors.
Before their departure, Halsey had expressed their dissatisfaction with Capitol Records for stalling the release of ‘So Good.’ However, after a week of pushback, the label eventually agreed to release the song on 9 June 2022.
