A recent LinkedIn India report reveals that professionals from different generations are increasingly eager to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) into their working lives. The report found that a majority of surveyed individuals from Generation X and Millennials expressed curiosity about harnessing this emerging technology, showcasing their acceptance and adaptability towards advancements.
According to the report, 75% of Millennials and 74% of Generation X professionals believe that AI can free them from monotonous tasks, allowing more time for stimulating work. This optimism also extends to Generation Z, with 70% of respondents expressing excitement about AI integration.
LinkedIn India Editorial Lead and Career Expert Nirajita Banerjee stated that professionals from these three generations see the potential of AI to enhance productivity, navigate work challenges, and achieve a meaningful work-life balance.
The report also highlights that a significant percentage of professionals across generations believe AI can assist in solving complex job-related issues, potentially boosting job satisfaction and overall quality of life. Specifically, 84% of Millennials, 82% of Generation X, and 72% of Generation Z professionals share this belief.
Moreover, the report reveals that many surveyed Millennials and Generation X individuals feel that AI’s absorption of trivial tasks would help them strike a better work-life balance, ultimately leading to increased productivity and fulfillment. In fact, 79% of Millennials and 76% of Generation X professionals specifically mentioned this benefit.
Interestingly, the report indicates that a large majority of Millennials (93%) and Generation X professionals (89%) foresee AI becoming an “invisible teammate” within the next five years. This suggests that AI technology will seamlessly integrate into the workplace, augmenting human capabilities and providing valuable support.
The survey, which included 2,045 Indian workers aged over 18 years, demonstrates the growing receptiveness to new technologies across different age groups, with a strong emphasis on AI’s transformative potential for the workplace, job satisfaction, and personal life.
Overall, the LinkedIn India report underscores the positive attitude professionals from Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z have towards AI integration in the workplace, highlighting the potential benefits of increased productivity, job satisfaction, and work-life balance.
