In a recent Instagram post, Chipotle took inspiration from Olivia Rodrigo’s new album, Guts, and parodied one of the songs. The post featured a hand adorned with letter rings spelling out “Guac,” a clever homage to the album cover of Guts where Rodrigo had similar rings spelling out the album title.
The hand in the post was holding a tortilla chip above a side of guacamole, accompanied a Chipotle paper bag. The caption of the post played on the lyrics of the song “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl” from Guts, with the words “Every guy I like is guac,” a play on the original line “every guy I like is gay.”
The Instagram post garnered attention from Olivia Rodrigo herself, who responded with enthusiasm. She commented, “LMFAOOOOO THIS IS AMAZING,” showing her appreciation for the amusing homage.
Olivia Rodrigo has been enjoying success following the release of her sophomore album, Guts. After the Grammy-winning success of her debut album, Sour, expectations were high for her second album. Rodrigo not only met but exceeded those expectations. She recently announced her second-ever headlining tour, set to begin in February 2024.
The highly-anticipated “Guts” world tour has generated such demand that additional shows needed to be added. The tour will kick off in Palm Springs, CA, on February 23 and will make its way through major cities, including performances at renowned arenas such as Madison Square Garden, the United Center, and TD Garden. Prior to her arena shows, Rodrigo toured theaters on her “Sour” tour.
Following her performances in the United States, Rodrigo will make her way to Europe in the spring of 2024. She will then return to America in July, concluding her tour with a four-night stay at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, CA.
