VRNT Technical Analysis
VRNT opened trading yesterday at $34.75 and closed trading at $35.19. After closing VRNT dropped down to $30.99, equivalent to a 12% decrease from the closing price. Taking a look at the daily chart we can see the last time VRNT traded below this price level was on February 12th when it traded at $30.69. Taking a closer look at the daily chart we can see that VRNT has been on a steady decline dating back to June 3rd, 2015 when it traded at its 52 week high price of $66.45. VRNT has a float of 61.32 million shares and traded over 2.5 times the normal daily trading volume on Tuesday. For trading purposes, I would like to see VRNT open up trading on Wednesday below $32. If it does I would be looking to take a short position at the bell. My stop loss would be $0.25 from my entry position, fearing anything above that and the stock will look to fill in the gap down.
